Shidler College of Business Official GMAC "Military Friendly" School

Leverage your military experience with a Shidler College of Business MBA. Shidler’s military friendly program focuses on team work, leadership, and practical skill building much like the training you experienced throughout your military career. The Shidler College of Business has been deemed a military-friendly program by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and offers the following benefits to all military personnel who have been active duty within three years prior to applying.

Eligibility

United States military personnel who have been on active duty within three years prior to applying are eligible for the Shidler College of Business MBA Program.

Application Fee

If you have been on active duty within three years prior to applying, your application fee of $60 will be waived. Before paying the application fee online, please contact Jennifer Tutak, MBA Admissions Director, at tutak@hawaii.edu to request the military fee waiver.

Financial Support

We commit to making financial aid available to qualified military personnel who have transitioned from the service in the two years prior to enrollment with the Shidler College of Business MBA Program. The amount of support offered will be based on the criteria used for our merit-based awards of scholarships and assistantships.

Deferment

We will provide a one year enrollment deferral if your MBA plans are delayed by your military service.
