Focuses on auditing processes, standards and guidance specific to IT risks. Exposure to advanced IT audit software and its practical application and real world IT audit issues. Pre: 418 or 585 with C- or better, or consent.

Subjects:

The course provides an overview of the nature and conduct of IT audit, from both an internal audit perspective and as support for the financial statement audit. Specific IT audit content areas include IT governance, IT risk assessment, IT operations, security, business continuity and change management. The course also includes a significant focus on fraud detection and prevention (e.g., including extensive use of a computerized audit tool, IDEA).
