Scholarship Information

2018-2019 General Direct Admit Program (DAP) scholarship

A select number of $1,000.00 scholarships are available to new students already accepted to the Direct Admit Program (DAP) for Fall 2018. 

If you were not initially offered a scholarship but would like to apply for a scholarship, please submit a one page cover letter and resume.

In your cover letter consider including professional goals, achievements, co- or extra curricular activities, special circumstances, and why you should receive this scholarship. Address your letter to the DAP Scholarship Committee.

Deadline to Submit Scholarship Application: April 16, 2018  Notification of scholarship decision will be in early May 2018.

This application is for students who have not already received a scholarship upon acceptance to the DAP.


Clifford and Blanche Hee Endowed Scholarship in Honor of Thomas and Michael Hee

The Clifford and Blanche Hee Endowed Scholarship in Honor of Thomas and Michael Hee awards up to $5,000 per academic year, with the option to be renewed for a total of two years.  Eligible students must be full-time undergraduate students pursuing a business degree at Shidler, while maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0.  It is available to incoming DAP freshman each academic year.

The Robert L. Dove, Jr. Endowed Scholarship for Insurance Excellence
Sponsored by HEMIC

The Robert L. Dove, Jr. Endowed Scholarship for Insurance Excellence – Sponsored by HEMIC awards up to $2,500 per academic year, with the option to be renewed for four years.  It is available to one incoming DAP freshman each academic year. Eligible applicants must be a graduate from a Hawai‘i high school and be a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a business degree at the Shidler College of Business. Preference will be given to students who express an interest in finance with a concentration in insurance and risk management. The scholarship can be renewed up to 4 academic years for students who continue to be full-time undergraduate students pursuing a business finance degree at Shidler and maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.20.

The New Warrior Scholarships

The Mānoa New Warrior Scholarships consist of the Regents Scholarship, Chancellor's Scholarship, Mānoa Excellence Scholarship, and Mānoa International Excellence Scholarship. Students must have a 3.5 GPA, 1200-1380 SAT or 27-29 ACT.  Deadline to submit an NWS application is January 15, 2018.  Students are awarded this scholarship upon acceptance to UH Manoa. If you feel you meet the minimum requirements but was not informed about these scholarship opportunities, please contact the Office of Admissions at (808) 956-8975.  More information can be found here.


 
The Manoa Academic Merit Scholarship

The Mānoa Academic Merit Scholarship is a $2,000 per year scholarship for four years. Students must be first time degree seeking and have 3.5 GPA, 1200 SAT or 27 ACT.  To be eligible, students must submit their UH Mānoa application by the March 1st, 2018 deadline.  Students are notified if they are awarded the scholarship in their financial aid award packate.
