Application Process

We are here to help support your study abroad plans!  Please follow the steps below to start planning your study abroad journey.  Get started by exploring your options and narrowing your selection by country, school, semester, and courses.

1) Review UH Mānoa Study Abroad Options and Application Deadlines:

Mānoa International Exchange (MIX)

Study Abroad Center (SAC)

Please note that the Shidler College of Business does not send students abroad; students must study abroad through either MIX or SAC.  The Shidler College of Business may assist with course and graduation planning, as a result of studying abroad.  Advisors at MIX and SAC are also available to meet with you if you have questions.

AACSB Accreditation
Visit the AACSB International website to find out which partner schools are AACSB accredited.
(Note: Students enrolling in any business core class while abroad (i.e., BUS 310 thru BUS 315) at a Non-ACCSB accredited school must take a separate ethics ("E" Focus) class to fulfill UH Manoa's "E" Focus graduation requirement. BUS 345 will not fulfill the "E" Focus requirement.)

2) Selecting Courses

Students should utilize the Shidler Partner Schools website for pre-approved course equivalencies.  Courses need to be approved by the Shidler College of Business to be eligible towards the BBA degree.

It is recommended that students work with their academic advisor and to complete a Preliminary Courses Form to confirm whether or not the course(s) you take abroad will be applicable towards your BBA degree.

Students are also welcome to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor, by calling (808) 956-8215.

3) Apply for a Shidler Travel Scholarship!

Admitted Shidler students may be eligible for a travel scholarship!
