Useful Areas On-Campus

Campus Center

The heart of campus, this is where you will find the bookstore, student ID and ticket office, numerous food vendors, and entertainment.

Manoa Bookstore
Campus Center, 1st floor
(800) 842-6657

Depending on your schedule, textbooks can cost anywhere from $30-$150 per course, with some courses requiring multiple books. A list of required texts by course or instructor is available online through the UH Bookstore.

The UH Bookstore offers both new and used books (when available). Some required texts can be found cheaper if you shop around online. A buyback period at the end of each semester allows students to sell their used books to the bookstore for some cash back.

Student ID Office
Campus Center 212

Once you arrive at UHM, one of the first things you will want to do is obtain a student ID card. Bring a valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID w/expiration date, passport, etc.) to Campus Center 212, your picture will be taken, and your student ID card issued. If you have already paid your tuition, be sure to get your ID validated at the same time.

Your student ID will need to be validated at the beginning of each semester if you intend to buy a parking pass, check out books from a campus library, or utilize other benefits available to students. Any holds or financial obligations must be cleared before an ID card will be issued or validated each semester.

If your ID card is lost or stolen, a replacement ID card can be issued for a $15.00 fee. Find more information and a list of ID benefits online.
