The Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa received a gift of $150,000 for scholarships from the Hawaii-based companies of Saltchuk Resources, Inc., based in Seattle, Washington. The Hawaii-based companies are Foss Hawaii, Aloha Air Cargo, Hawaii Petroleum, Minit Stop, and Young Brothers.

New program helps participants harness the power of big data

Shidler’s first data analytics training program was filled to max capacity thanks to strong demand from the academic and business communities. Approximately 130 faculty, students, and business professionals registered for the 16-hour course which took place over two weekends in September at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
