Knowing that study abroad provides many unique opportunities for me to gain exposure of a different culture, I consider the experience as an essential transformation for me to be a global citizen. Studying abroad will be a defining step in moving me forward towards my academic, professional, and personal goals in the university. During my time abroad, I plan to take business courses at ESC Rennes School of Business, at the same time connecting with the local people, culture, and values. While I can find myself actively engage in the local community as a exemplary representative from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I hope to make this a memorable learning experience for many years to come.

Moving from the Philippines to Hawaii taught me that the world is vast and people around the world differ from each other. By studying abroad in Prague, I hope to further develop my knowledge about another culture, specifically European culture. As an accounting student, it is important that I know how to connect with other people. I will draw from this experience to relate more easily with new clients in the future and achieve a more global business perspective.
