International Best-selling Author to Speak at Pasifika Energy Summit

Dr. David Korten is a world-renowned author of several best-selling novels including Agenda for a New Economy: From Phantom Wealth to Real Wealth and When Corporations Rule the World. Korten is an advocate for change; his novels and lectures focus on sustainable economic models.

On April 9, 2009, Korten will speak at the Pasifika Energy Summit at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu. The event features prominent speakers and leaders from the Pacific Islands. The spotlight is on sustainability and how it affects our island economies.

The event is held in conjunction with the Stars of Oceania Luncheon, which recognizes and honors traditional leaders from the Pacific.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Pacific Island students at the University of Hawaii through the Stars of Oceania Scholarship Fund. Sponsorship and donation opportunities are available.
