About the Speakers

Mike Bravo is the Co-Founder of A-Crew Apparel. Mike and his brother fell in love with paddling in California, and flew to Hawaii in 2010 in search of something more. They saw an opportunity for an apparel line that represented paddlers, and so A-Crew Apparel was formed. The brothers found brotherhood, strength, inspiration and purpose, while working on the business. Mike is finishing up his final semester at the Shidler College of Business, and is balancing running his business and school. Travis Ito is the Chief Problem Solver and Creative Director of HVN Apparel. Travis started HVN (pronounced HAVEN) as a University of Hawaii at Manoa student with just $500 and a knack for graphic design. He printed his first design on organic cotton tees and sold them out of his backpack around campus. Since then, HVN has been on the shelves of boutique stores and a statewide retail chain and even made its way to the US West Coast, Australia and Japan. His entrepreneurial journey taught him that his true passion is in creative thinking, problem solving and building businesses – turning nothing into something.
