CANCELED - UH Mānoa Shidler Hong Kong Alumni & Friends Event

IMPORTANT UPDATE: 

We have made the decision to cancel the Feb. 20 Hong Kong Alumni & Friends Event due to growing concerns over the Coronavirus. We are taking the travel advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of State seriously to ensure the health and safety of our employees and our alumni and friends.

We hope to reschedule this event in the future and appreciate the interest of our alumni and friends with connecting with us in Hong Kong and hearing from our guest speaker, Eddie Flores, Jr., BBA ’70, president and CEO of L&L Drive-Inn/L&L Hawaiian Barbecue.

UH MĀNOA HONG KONG ALUMNI & FRIENDS EVENT

Dean Vance Roley invites alumni and friends of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Shidler College of Business to a special networking mixer in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Make valuable connections, broaden your network and learn about the college’s new initiatives.

We are also excited to host guest speaker, Eddie Flores, who is the founder and CEO of L&L Drive-Inn/L& L Hawaiian Barbecue. Flores earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the college in 1970. He’s turned Hawaiʻi’s traditional "plate lunch" into a national phenomenon, opening over 140 restaurants nationwide. He opened his first restaurant in 1976 as a gift for his mother. Today, L&L Drive-Inn is the largest restaurant chain in Hawaiʻi.
