Business students enjoyed the opportunity to network and mingle with alumni and friends at a recent student/alumni mixer held at the Stan Sheriff Center in March.

The event, appropriately named "Sports & Stories," featured a special reception held at the Edwin S.N. Wong Hospitality Suite. Head Volleyball Coach Charlie Wade made a special appearance and pumped up the crowd with his speech. Also, Shidler alumnus and former UH Swimmer Kacy Johnson (BBA 2016) shared his story as a UH athlete and Shidler student. Johnson currently works as an assets liability specialists at First Hawaiian Bank.

Following the reception, everyone attended an exciting UH Men's Volleyball Game where the Warriors swept USC in three sets for their 12th straight win.

Sports & Stories was co-organized by Shidler's Oscar and Rosetta Fish Scholarship recipients and the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association. Funding was provided by the Student Activity & Program Fee Board (SAPFB) and The Boeing Business Student Organization Support Fund. The event was held on March 2, 2017 with over 80 students, alumni and friends in attendance.
