Riccardo Coffani, BS ‘11, has been named general manager of Tokyo Pizza London, a concept restaurant that marries the flavors of Japan with classic pizza. He most recently served as marketing manager at Orange Hospitality Limited.

Ngoc Nguyen, BBA ’05, MBA ’11, has been chosen for the 2022-2023 Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance cohort. Nguyen currently serves as director of strategic finance at Hawaiian Telcom.

Landon Beers, BBA ‘07, has been promoted to managing director at Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Honolulu audit practice, where he leads audit engagements in  banking, technology, retail and hospitality practices. Beers also serves as treasurer for the Shidler Alumni Association.

Rachael Young, BBA ‘95

Rachael Young, BBA ‘95, has been appointed human resources director at Palolo Chinese Home. Young has 23 years of experience, having held positions with Fletcher Jones Automotive, Lanakila Pacific and Kobayashi Travel Service.

Todd Takayama, BBA ‘90

Todd Takayama, BBA ‘90, has been promoted to president at First Insurance Company of Hawaii. In this role, he oversees the company’s finance, marketing, legal and claims departments while  continuing to serve as chief underwriting officer.

Matt Takamine, BBA ‘98, has been promoted to executive managing director and captive practice leader at Brown & Brown. In his elevated role, he is responsible for all of the company’s captive management and consulting services. Takamine recently served as the keynote speaker at Shidler’s 2022 Scholarship Luncheon.

Tony Soh, BBA ‘90, has been named chief executive officer of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre in Singapore. In this leadership role, he works closely with partners and the community to deepen and grow a culture of giving.

Dan Ihara, BBA ‘86, has been named leader of KW Real Estate Planner, the newest community in Keller Williams Realty International, open to the top 1% of realtors in the U.S. As part of this group, Ihara shares his knowledge, training and experience with other real estate owners. 

Peter Fong, BBA ‘77

Peter Fong

Peter Fong, BBA ‘77, has been appointed chair of the board of directors at Maryknoll School. In his role, he leads efforts to raise funds for student projects, which includes a performing arts program and facility. Fong was also appointed chair of the board of directors and president of Palolo Chinese Home.

Sara Samiano, BBA ‘19, has been hired as creative production project manager at Brafton. In this position, Samiano collaborates with teams across the company to manage multiple delivery schedules and processes to ensure deliverables get to clients on time.
