Master of Business Administration (MBA)

While visiting with his family from Singapore, alumnus Vincent Chan (Japan MBA 2002) stopped by the Shidler College of Business in January for a casual "talk story" session with a few of Shidler's top students.

Dev Strischek (MBA 1970) has been appointed to the Private Company Council (PCC) of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2018.

Krishna S. Dhir (MBA 1968) is a professor at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo, and Henry Gund Professor Emeritus at Berry College. As a visiting professor at Szechenyi University, Dhir helps to develop Hungary’s first English-language PhD program in business.

John Williamson (MBA 1991) has been promoted to senior vice president in Anthology’s Public Relations Group. Williamson returned to the company in March 2016 serving as vice president.

Darrick Ching (MBA 1991) has been promoted to senior vice president and consumer branch banking division manager at First Hawaiian Bank. Ching oversees the bank’s personal banking segments, retail planning and sales, service and training for the bank's 62-branch network in the retail banking group.

Joanna Amberger (MBA 2008) has been elected to serve a two-year term on the national board of directors for the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Amberger is the president and founder of 3 Financial Group, an independent financial planning firm in Honolulu. She has been a member of AAUW since 2010 and is actively involved locally with AAUW Honolulu.

Tim Ganter (MBA 2006) has joined the Creative Intelligence Lab at Adobe as a research software developer where he helps innovate user experiences for Adobe's products. Ganter is also the founder of Studio Ten Four, LLC, a Seattle-based web development studio that specializes in custom created designs.

Michael Robinson (MBA 2014) was one of 50 outstanding individuals from across the U.S. who were presented with the American Hospital Association's 2017 Grassroots Champion Award.
