  • Senior Vice President, Credit Risk Management, Central Pacific Bank, Honolulu (In charge of credit reporting, delivery and presentation of monthly/quarterly credit-related results to the Board and senior management)
  • Officer-in-Charge, Large and Regional Supervision at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, San Antonio Branch (Head bank regulator for all large and regional commercial banks in central and southern Texas)
  • Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Risk Management Officer of East West Bank, Pasadena, CA ($70 billion in assets; largest regional commercial bank in CA)

Earlier career experience includes:

  • Director of National Credit Risk Management Practice at KPMG, Los Angeles, CA (Sold and delivered $2.5 million worth of major loan evaluation consulting business each year for 4 years)
  • Group Vice President in SunTrust Bank’s Credit Risk Management Division, Atlanta, GA (Head of capital markets credit risk management policy)
  • Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pioneer Federal Saving Bank, Honolulu, HI (merged with First Hawaiian Bank)
  • Spent much of my career as a Bank Supervision Officer and commercial bank examiner with the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC, Dallas & New York
