Investment Management (CFA® Track)

A degree in Finance with a concentration in investments is ideal for students looking to pursue careers within the investment community and financial markets. There are many rewarding opportunities in investments, including:

  • Professional money management careers with investment counseling firms, mutual funds, pension funds, hedge funds, etc.
  • Investment banking careers
  • Institutional sales and trading careers

Students interested in the dynamics of financial markets and in investment analysis, portfolio management, or securities trading in competitive financial markets should begin earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. The CFA® charter is the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world, and earning it will open doors to unlimited career advancement. It is recommended to take an internship with the AKAMAI Foundation.
