The School of Accountancy (SOA) offers accounting education at all levels: undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D.
Special programs also exist to assist students in entering the accounting profession. Examples of such programs are mentioned here and here.
BBA in Accounting
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree includes a major in Accounting. This four-year program includes about two years of general education requirements for the university, one year for broad business education, and one year devoted to courses in Accounting.
Minor in Professional Accounting
The minor in professional accounting was created to provide the necessary coursework to better prepare undergraduate accounting majors for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam and a career in public accounting.
3/2 Program (BBA and MAcc)
The 3/2 MAcc program enables the University of Hawaii at Manoa Shidler College of Business students to earn both a BBA in accounting and a Master of Accounting in 5 years, without taking the GMAT. Students in the 3/2 Program may enroll in up to (6) units of graduate level coursework during their undergraduate education while still paying undergraduate tuition rates.
Master of Accounting (MAcc)
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program provides the knowledge and skills necessary to build a successful career in the multifaceted, dynamic practice of accounting.
Ph.D. Program
The Ph.D. Program offers an academically challenging and rigorous program designed to prepare highly motivated and intellectually gifted students for a career in research and teaching with a particular focus on Asia and the Pacific.
