Emeritus Professor Donald Corbin died on March 14, 2008. A highly regarded professor since 1961, he has been an inspiration to many faculty and students. Corbin retired in 1989, but continued to advise the School of Accountancy, serving on its advisory board and helping to guide the re-development of its curriculum. He and his wife Martha established the Donald A. Corbin Professorship in Accounting in 2007. The Corbin Professorship was the very first endowed professorship to be established in the School of Accountancy. Don was a much loved and respected member of our Shidler College of Business ʻOhana and Hawai‘i’s accounting community. He is greatly missed.
