We truly appreciate the expertise and knowledge that Shidler graduates have to offer. The following are a few examples of volunteer opportunities for alumni.

Shidler Alumni Association VolunteerMany students are looking for mentors to offer guidance and advice. Be a mentor at Business Night or year-round through the Shidler Ambassadors program.

Guest Speaker

As a guest speaker, alumni can share their business expertise and knowledge with students. There are several programs that regularly utilize alumni speakers including BUS601, Business of the Week and Information Sessions for student recruitment.

Career and Internship Placement

Sponsor an internship or hire a student. Contact Shidler’s Office of Internships and Career Development.

Event Volunteer

The College hosts a variety of events each year. Volunteer support is vital to the success of these events (i.e Business Night, Hall of Honor, Executive Vineyards, etc.).

PACE Volunteer

The Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship has volunteer opportunities available to professionals with a background in entrepreneurship. Become a UH Business Plan judge or coach, a Professional-in-Residence or a Virtual Professional-in-Residence. Contact pace@hawaii.edu.

There so many ways to get involved. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Unyong Nakata at unyong.nakata@uhfoundation.org or (808) 956-3597.
