Chulalongkorn University, officially established in 1917, is Thailand’s most prestigious institution of higher education. The Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy has approximately 130 full-time faculty and 3,000 students. It offers three bachelors degrees and four masters degrees.

Student exchange is open to undergraduate students for the fall or spring semesters. On-campus housing is available.

Copenhagen Business School

Copenhage Business School is one of the major business schools in Europe. It is a member of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS). The language of instruction is English. Semesters begin in September or February. A free one-week intensive course in Danish is provided by CBS in mid-August or mid-January. Varied housing options are available.

Founded in 1991, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) provides a modern campus with teaching and research facilities in the heart of what is arguably the world’s most exciting business metropolis

HKUST offers a curriculum designed to bridge the academic structure of traditional Chinese and British universities and the broad research and teaching approach of American universities.

All instruction is in English. The exchange program is open to students for the fall or spring semesters.

Keio University

Keio University

MBA students who have completed one year of graduate study have the opportunity to study for the Spring semester at Keio University’s Graduate School of Business Administration in Yokohama, Japan.

The exchange program helps students gain a practical understanding of Japanese business and develop managerial skills. Selected courses are offered in English; however, preference is given to students who speak and read Japanese so they may enroll in other courses in Keio’s MBA program. On-campus housing is available.

Korea University

Korea University

Korea University (KU) is centrally located in Seoul, Korea. It is one of the top three universities in Korea. KU Business School has recently undergone major renovations, with a new state-of-art building opening in summer 2003.

The new building will be the home to the electronic library and the Digital Lounge, which houses many online databases and the latest information on financial analyst reports and global economic data.

Exchange opportunities are available for both undergraduate and graduate levels and are open for students in the fall or spring semesters. On-campus housing is available.

National Sun Yat-sen University

National Sun Yat-sen University is one of Taiwan’s top universities. In 2000, it was ranked 20th among the top 50 Asian universities by AsiaWeek magazine. The degree programs are in Business Management, Information Management, Finance, Public Affairs Management, Human Resource Management and Communications Management.

Five courses are offered in English in the College of Management for exchange students in the fall semester. The University’s International Curriculum Program offers 25 interdisciplinary courses in English for exchange students and Taiwanese students. Exchange students can also take various levels of Mandarin Chinese courses.

National University of Singapore

National University of Singapore

The National University of Singapore is one of the most well-known universities in Asia. In 2000, NUS’s MBA program ranked second in AsiaWeek’s Asia’s Best MBA schools. It’s business school is highly ranked in a number of other publications.

The language of instruction is English. The fall semester runs from July to November, and the Spring semester runs from January to May.

The Business School offers courses which parallel those in the Shidler College of Business, and also offers courses focusing on Asian business which will benefit U students. It is important to note that Business modules at NUS are extremely competitive, and incoming exchange students are always urged to be as flexible as possible with their module (class) choices.

Major departments are Business Policy, Decision Sciences, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Management and Organization, and Human Resources Management.

In the heart of France’s champagne country, Reims Management School international programs offer short courses which can be combined for three hours of academic credits. There are also two-week programs for graduate students during the summer. All instruction is in English.

Seoul National University

Seoul National University

Seoul National University (SNU) is one of the top ranked universities in Korea. Its business school is highly ranked as well. Many of its faculty are graduates of Western universities. The language of instruction is English. The Business School offers courses which parallel those at the Shidler College of Business. The School also offers courses focusing on Asian business which will benefit UH students.

Major departments are Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Personnel Administration and Organizational Behavior, Information Systems and International Business. The SNU academic calendar runs from September to December, and March to June. Business courses taught in English are limited; however, additional courses in English are offered through the School of International and Area Studies (SIAS) at the graduate level.

Thammasat University

Thammasat University

Thammasat University is one of the top universities in Thailand. Its business school, the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, is highly rated and produces top-quality graduates for various positions in Thailand.

UH students will participate in the English-speaking BBA International program. The academic year is similar to that of U.S. universities.

The campus is located in Bangkok, Thailand, on the east bank of the Chao Phray River. Housing is available off-campus.

Waseda University

Waseda University

Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan is one of the top universities in Japan. Through its Center for International Education, it offers a number of courses for international students.

Because of Waseda’s current semester schedule, UH students should consider a one-year exchange to Waseda. Fall semester is late September to mid-February; Spring semester is mid-February to the end of June.

A variety of courses are offered in international business and Japanese to supplement your program. Open to undergraduate and graduate students.

WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management

WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management

Located in Vallender, Germany, WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management is one of the top business schools in Germany offering bachelors, masters and Ph.D. degrees. All of the graduate courses and 80% of the undergraduate courses are taught in English. The exchange program is open to students in the fall or spring semesters.

Yonsei University

Located in Seoul, Yonsei is the oldest university in Korea and the first to offer graduate programs in English. It is also recognized as one of the top three universities in Korea with its business school noted as one of the best in the country.

The Division on International Education and the Graduate School of International Studies offer international programs and courses taught in English to over 250 visiting exchange students every year.

The exchange is open to undergraduate and graduate students. On-campus housing is available.
