Kwanglim Seo, is an Associate Professor in Hospitality at the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. His areas of expertise are hospitality finance and strategic management.

Dr. Seo’s research interests lie primarily in the areas of strategic decision-making and its impact spanning both hospitality and tourism research. He was also actively involved in several interdisciplinary research projects funded by USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and SSRI (Social Science Research Institute). 

Dr. Seo received his Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from The Pennsylvania State University; and M.S. in International Hospitality Management from University of Strathclyde.

Prior to joining the TIM School, Dr. Seo taught finance and accounting courses at Pennsylvania State University, including Hospitality Financial Management, Hospitality Financial Accounting, and Hospitality Managerial Accounting. In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Seo brings international industry experience in the hospitality sector, having worked with Holiday Inn Hotel in Glasgow, UK, Accor Hotel in Tenerife, Spain, and Riviera Hotel in Daejeon, Korea.
