About PATA
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) UH Mānoa Student Chapter is affiliated with the PATA Hawaiʻi Chapter and the global PATA network. The chapter brings local relevance to global tourism issues by connecting students with industry professionals, current trends, and real-world experiences.
With a diverse membership, PATA UHM extends learning beyond the classroom through site visits, industry excursions, workshops, guest speakers, and networking events. As the only PATA student chapter in the United States, members have unique access to both local and international opportunities within the Asia-Pacific tourism network.
Members may participate in PATA Hawaiʻi industry luncheons, conferences, cultural experiences, and familiarization (FAM) tours. Each year, the chapter fundraises to support student participation in the annual PATA Conference in Asia, where members engage with global industry leaders, attend seminars, and expand their professional network.
PATA UHM is committed to preparing students for careers in tourism by fostering global perspectives, industry engagement, and professional development.
