The PhD Program in Business Administration offers an academically challenging and rigorous program. This full-time program emphasizes a strong foundation in both methodological and theoretical training. Students will gain valuable research skills through collaborative work with our faculty. Those who plan to pursue academic careers can take advantage of teaching opportunities, along with instruction in teaching techniques that are especially effective in management education.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in the field of specialization and business administration in general
• Demonstrate the aptitude for designing and conducing research responsibly and ethically in the area of specialization and business administration
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze, synthesize, and utilize quantitative and/or qualitative data in the domain of inquiry
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate and write publishable reports in chosen area of business administration
• Contribute to the creation of knowledge in the area of specialization and business administration as a field
• Demonstrate knowledge required to teach in one of the following functional areas: accounting, finance, organization & strategy, information technology management, marketing, and travel industry management
• Effectively teach courses
