Student Clubs play an integral role at the Shidler College of Business. We encourage all students to join a club or organization as a way of engaging in student life and making connections with other students.
Accounting Club
The Accounting Club has been a professional student organization within the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Our goal as a club is to promote professional and personal development in all our members. With the help of the School of Accountancy (SOA), our club has been able to reach our goal by providing members with social and business events related to public, private, and government businesses.
American Marketing Association
The American Marketing Association at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (AMA-UHM) is a collegiate chapter of the internationally affiliated AMA organization. AMA-UHM was established in 1971 and continues to be one of the largest and most active organizations in the Shidler College of Business. This chapter offers its members networking opportunites and resources to build their professional profiles within a community of ambitious, creative individuals.
Beta Alpha Psi - Delta Theta Chapter
Beta Alpha Psi is the premier international honors organization for financial information students and professionals. Founded in 1974, the Delta Theta Chapter is one of over 300 chapters of Beta Alpha Psi. Our mission is to complement each member's formal education by providing interactions among students, faculty, and professionals and foster lifelong growth, services and ethical conduct.
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
A national business honor society; membership is by invitation only. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive from a college of business or management accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International).
Business Executive Society of Tomorrow
The Business Executive Society of Tomorrow strives to provide its members with a dimension of learning unavailable to them in a classroom setting. Providing them with a platform to meet and network with professionals in Hawaii's Business Community, thereby empowering them with the knowledge and skills necessary to prosper in their future endeavors. Due to our 60-member cap, each member has a personalized experience in growing as a future professional.
Delta Sigma Pi - Rho Chi Chapter
Delta Sigma Pi is an international professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Financial Management Association
Operating for over 40 years, the Financial Management Association has provided its members with a wide range of financial education experiences along with opportunities to grow within the local business community. It is their mission to further the professional and personal development of Hawaii's next generation of finance professionals and leaders.
Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA)
The association of graduate business students is dedicated to the enhancement of the University of Hawaii-Manoa’s Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy Programs through the facilitation of interaction and reciprocity at educational and professional levels of students, faculty, alumni, and business entities.
Hawaii Student Entrepreneurs
Our mission is to inspire students to be entrepreneurs and to help students start and grow businesses. HSE strives not only to empower our members with the skills, knowledge, network and resources to start and run a successful business now, but to also be prepared to utilize community resources in the future, to continue their education for success after they’ve graduated.
The Inter-Business Council
Established in 1987, the Inter-Business Council (IBC) at the Shidler College of Business serves as a liaison between students, faculty, administration, alumni, and the Hawai’i community. IBC represents studentelected to serve twelve organizations within the Shidler College of Business. Attend IBC events through these organizations and connect with students from other clubs.
Information Technology Management Association
The Information Technology Management Association (ITMA) at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa's Shidler College of Business is a student organization dedicated to enhancing members' professional and social networks within the IT field. Established in 2008, ITMA is the sole IT club at Shidler and welcomes students from all majors, class standings, and GPAs. The club provides access to technical resources, fosters career development, and promotes interaction between members, alumni, and industry professionals.
International Business Organization
The International Business Organization (IBO) champions global awareness and professional growth through professional development events, global analysis workshops, study abroad aid, and more. By aligning with the Shidler College of Business’s mission of International Excellence, IBO cultivates a community of global-minded professionals, equipping its members to thrive in the diverse landscape of international business. Membership is open to all majors, and we encourage all students interested in International Business to join.
Real Estate Club
Our mission is to provide opportunities for networking, career development, and education for students interested in Real Estate. We also serve as a medium between the student body and representatives and organizations in the field of Real Estate. This mission is accomplished through industry workshops, company tours, and a large networking event each semester.
Society for Human Resource Management
Established in 1974, SHRM Aloha Chapterʻs mission is to foster collaboration and interaction among a diverse group of individuals. Through offering skill building workshops, providing direct access to some of Hawaii's top recruiters, and maintaining strong ties with SHRM Hawaii the Aloha Chapter aims to help future business leaders successfully begin their careers whatever they may be.
Travel Industry Management Student Association (TIMSA)
The Travel Industry Management Student Association (TIMSA) is committed to providing members with a gateway into the travel industry by expanding their knowledge both locally and abroad. TIMSA is the TIM School’s largest student organization and continues to grow each year. TIMSA allows students to participate in activities outside of the classroom including socials, workships, fundraisers, site inspections and community service.
