Shidler College of Business Alumni Association

The Shidler College of Business Alumni Association is one of the largest and most active chapters under the UH Alumni Association (UHAA).

Originally formed in 1997 as CBA Alumni and Friends, the Shidler Alumni Association offers its member exclusive benefits such as invitations to professional development seminars, social events and networking opportunities. Its mission is to support and promote the Shidler College of Business and connect Shidler alumni worldwide.

  • Hall of Honor Awards
    This annual celebration recognizes outstnading college alumni for contributions to their industry, community and to the college. This event also raises critical funding for the college's advancement fund.

  • Executive Vineyards
    For more than 20 years, this annual wine tasting function brings together hundreds of alumni and friends for an evening of sampling wines across the globe, delectable food tastings from Honolulu’s hottest restaurants and a large silent auction. The highly anticipated event raises much needed funds for the association, to support college initiatives, programs and student functions.

  • Professional Development and Networking Mixers
    The association hosts a variety of alumni, student and professional mixers for both alumni and friends. Key events include a student-mentoring speed dining function, an annual Dine Around which brings together more than 80 alumni for three delicious dinner rotations, as well as a variety of “pop up” panel speaker and networking events throughout the year.

Alumni Mentorship

The association coordinates and manages a number of alumni mentorship programs for current students, graduate students and recent alumni. The programs are volunteer-based and are designed to pair mentor and mentees based on industry experience and desired career pathways.

The Shidler College of Business Alumni Association is an official chapter of UHAA. It is a membership based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Each year, members of the association give back to the community by volunteering their time, energy and weekends to a local non-profit. Partner organizations have included Hawaii Foodbank, Paepae o He‘eia (He'eia Fishpond), the Windward Community College Rain Garden and others.
