The total shown is annual, full-time (12 or more credits per semester) cost of attendance for the following groups of undergraduate students:
- a Hawaiʻi resident (living with family, living on campus, or living of campus)
- a non-Hawaii resident (living with family, living on campus, or living of campus)
- a Pacific Island Jurisdiction/Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)-qualifying student (living with family, living on campus, or living of campus)
In addition to the tuition and fees shown on the Cost of Attendance page, a Shidler College of Business major is charged a $500 professional fee per semester.

All tuition and fee charges at the University of Hawaiʻi campuses are subject to change in accordance with requirements of State law and/or action by the Board of Regents or the University administration. Your tuition is based on the number of credit hours for which you enroll, according to the rates outlined above (subject to change).
Fees estimated for the 2024-2025 academic year are $1,882 for a full-time schedule. ($1,000 Shidler professional fee + $882 UH Mānoa fees).

* Undergraduate Business Professional Fees: In 2005 the Shidler College of Business requested and was granted the ability to charge a fee for student services. This fee is now $500 per semester. This fee was requested to address certain specific student needs to enhance the Shidler student experience, and it has been used to that end ever since. Specifically, it was conceived to cover the following expenditures:
- Additional staff persons for career services
- Improvement and expansion of career services
- Six new faculty members
- Upgrade of the college’s two computer labs
- Improvement to classrooms
The entirety of the funds have been spent since the fee’s inception on these specific items. Due to inflation, it has been necessary to target the fees more specifically, but always within the approved list of uses. In the past fiscal year, July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the entire collected fee was spent on the salaries of our additional faculty. This has allowed us to maintain smaller class sizes and hire world class faculty with a focus on international excellence.
