Student Clubs

The University of Hawaiʻi offers a wealth of co-curricular opportunities for personal learning and growth. In addition to top-notch athletic and recreational facilities and a wide array of cultural activities, there are over 200 organized student clubs. Either of these student organizations are for TIM students.

American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA)

Student members are part of a network of industry executives and are invited to attend AH&LA conferences and events, where they can meet potential employers. Stay on top of the trends and best practices of the industry.

Club Management Association of America (CMAA)

The Club Management Association of America, or CMAA, is a student organization at the University of Hawai’i Club where students can learn more about the private club industry. Most TIM students are only aware of hotels and the transportation industry, but many are not exposed to the “hidden gem” that is private clubs.

Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society (ESD)

Eta Sigma Delta is an international hospitality honor society that recognizes the academic excellence of students pursuing a degree in hospitality, tourism and culinary arts.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)

The primary objective of HSMAI collegiate chapter is to provide the resources, knowledge and networks students need to make critical connections with industry “movers and shakers”.

Meeting Professionals International (MPI)

The MPI Student Chapter provides networking opportunities for students to learn about careers in the events industry and connect with peers and professionals.

Pacific Asia Travel Association Hawai'i STIM Satellite Chapter

PATA Hawaiʻi STIM Satellite Chapter, strives to bring local relevance to big picture issues. With a diverse student membership, PATA is a club that brings learning out of the four corners of the classroom through industry site visits, excursions, workshops, and networking events.

Travel Industry Management Student Association (TIMSA)

TIMSA is committed to providing members with a gateway into the travel industry by expanding their knowledge both locally and abroad. It allows students to participate in activities outside of the classroom including socials, workships, fundraisers, site inspections and community service.

Young Skål Club

Young Skål is park of Skål International Hawai’i, an association of travel and tourism industry professionals, collaborating to promote global tourism and goodwill. Young Skål participates in networking opportunities, including monthly dinners with local tourism and hospitality executives, site inspections, fundraisers, and more.
