The Shidler College of Business welcomed new and returning Shidler and pre-business students to the 2019-20 school year during its annual Shidler Day event on September 5.

From early morning, the courtyard was bustling with activity as College volunteers worked to set up tents, tables, merchandise and food and beverage stations. Members of student clubs also erected tents and prepared to share information with students and new recruits.

Starting at 10 a.m., courtyard passersby were greeted with popcorn, pizza, chips, drinks, the opportunity to purchase Shidler merchandise and information from the Shidler Alumni Association about how to stay connected post-graduation. Students, faculty, and staff enjoyed food, music and fellowship with each other throughout the morning and into the early afternoon.

This year’s food and beverages were given out free-of-charge thanks to the support of generous sponsors. Booz Allen Hamilton’s Hawai‘i office donated pizza, Meadow Gold Dairies Hawaii provided drinks, Hawaiian Chip Company donated chips and popcorn were supplied by the Shidler College of Business.

The event was co-organized by the Shidler College of Business and the Inter-Business Council (IBC).
