BLAW 200 Legal Environment of Business (3)

Introduction to the legal environment of business operations with particular attention to business law and ethics and to principles of law relating to contracts, agency, partnerships, and corporations.

BUS 250 Applied Math in Business (3)

Develop expertise in time value of money, discrete and continuous probability, hypothesis testing, the sampling distribution and their role in statistics.

COMG 151 Personal and Public Speech (3)

This course will help students develop communication skills necessary to function effectively today. Students will enhance their communication skills in one‐on‐one situations, small group situations, and public speaking.

ECON 130 Principles of Microeconomics (3)

Examination of the decision-making process of both households and firms. Analysis of the functioning of a competitive market system, using supply and demand models and the role of government in cases where the market system fails.

Spring Semester

ECON 131 Principles of Macroeconomics (3)

An introduction to macroeconomics–the study of the overall economy. Topics include the determination of causes and effects of inflation, unemployment, and income inequality; causes and consequences of international differences in economic growth; sources of business cycle expansions and contractions; financial markets and monetary policy; taxes, spending and consequences of budget deficits.

SOC 100 Introduction to Sociology (3)

In this course, we will learn the basic concepts and characteristics of sociology, using an experiential learning approach. Basic sociological concepts are used to develop a better understanding of (1) the individual in society, (2) the organization of society and (3) society as it changes. 

ACC 399 (Skills Course)

Covers topics such as data analytics, decision-making in an ever changing technological environment, risk assessment and finding opportunities, value systems across generations and nations, conflict resolution, environmental and sustainability issues, debate skills and leadership skills.
