The Shidler College of Business looks for well-balanced classes featuring a wide variety of candidates during each enrollment cycle, therefore candidates' applications are evaluated holistically and all components are given equal weight. Regular admission is available in the Fall semester with the above deadlines. However, internal BAM applicants may also apply early during their senior year for Spring enrollment (see details below).
General Admission Guidelines:
For Internal BAM Pathway
- Should apply in the semester before the senior year (preferred) or early in the senior year as a Shidler HRM or Management major
- Official transcript(s) showing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Completed HRM 351 with a grade of B or above
- Resume
- Statement of objectives: A brief statement about your interest in the MHRM and how this degree will help you meet your future career goals
- Two (2) letters of recommendation with at least one (1) from MIR faculty
- No GMAT/GRE required
For External Pathway
- Either in the last year of undergraduate study or have completed a bachelor's degree
- Official transcript(s) showing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- 2+ years professional work experience preferred - not required
- Resume
- Statement of objectives: A brief statement about your interest in the MHRM and how this degree will help you meet your future career goals
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- TOEFL or IELTS for international applicants who did not receive their degree from a country where the language of instruction during their undergraduate degree was entirely in English (Acceptable Tests listed here)
- No GMAT/GRE required
*GPA under 3.0 will be considered if other qualifications meet requirements. The rigor of the undergraduate degree will also be taken into consideration.
